Marco Maggi

(Born 1957 in Montevideo, UY; Lives and works in New Paltz, NY)

My English pronunciation is very similar to my drawings… an efficient oral example of my work…almost an involuntary performance. Why? because hearing me talking in English you can recognize language structure: words, rhythm, punctuation but no meaning. It’s so insignificant and unclear that you must imagine your own answers. A very precise confusion…a space to feel and fill. A container with diffuse content. Going slower and closer is the best protocol to manage uncertainty ….never before the planet was more uncertain and slow:  global parenthesis with no end in sight. Between thesis and parenthesis I always chose parenthesis or quarantine. Enjoying uncertainty helps to reject blind faith or fixed ideas. Marco Maggi
